Happy Valentines Day
Here's a quick marble for you.
I used:
NYC- French white tip as a base
Wet n wild - How I met your magenta
Sally Hansen - Pink Blink
Finger Paints- Black expressionism
I didn't tape off my cuticles and clean up was a pain in the butt with cleaning up the black but, here it is!
Btw, this is the longest my nails have ever been, I hope I don't break them. That is always what happens to me.
Have a great day.

Re-post wet/dry marble comparison
Hey guys, some of you might have noticed that I deleted my wet dry marble comparison post. But, I received a lot of emails that asked me to bring it back so, here it is: The original. Please note that my app on my phone will not let me post a photo then type under it. So, of you have any confusion, please email me or comment below. Thanks!
Good morning ladies! It's Friday, that means I have to work...I'd much rather sit at home and play with my polishes...but then how will I have money to fuel my addiction. Ha ha
Anywho... Today I've decided to do a little wet water marble and dry water marble nail art for you all. It's more of a comparison but without a lot of explanation.
On my left hand, I did the wet version.
You will need:
*3-4 polishes.
(I used OPI-shorts story, OPI-no room for blues, China glaze-Electric pineapple, sinful colors-rise and shine)
*Base coat- I always use white when I use bright color so they show up better on the white background but, you can use any color.
*Glass Cup, I used a shot glass.
*1 tooth pick or an Orange stick
*1 bottle of room temp. Water
The water has to be room temp so the polish spreads better when dropped into the water.
*1 napkin to clean off the tooth pick every time a design is made.
* California Mango cuticle balm to put around your cuticles and the back of your finger to keep the polish from sticking to your finger.
*Seche Vite top coat
Fill your cup with water about 80% full, start dropping drops of polish into the water. Try to make a bullseye with the polish colors. You have to be quick because the polish will dry before you have a chance make a design. Then you will have to start all over again. Use your tooth pick or Orange stick to make a design, see photo with bullseye flower.
Then, dip your finger in at an angle, not straight down. Dipping your finger in straight down could cause water to get on your nail before the polish and that can cause the polish not to stick and also causes water bubbles in the design on your nails. While your finger is still inside the cup, take your tooth pick and clean up the rest of the polish, around your finger that was not picked up by your nail. If you don't clean that polish up, it will overlap your design and create an ugly mess. Remove your finger, clean off your tooth pick and repeat for every nail. Do all of your nails then clean then. After cleaning them, seal it all with Seche Vite top coat. Photo with thumb nail pointing right.
For the dry water marble, that I did on my right hand, I tried this, that I seen here: (http://www.nailsmag.com/demoarticle/747/the-butterfly-effect)
You will need:
*3-4 polishes.
(I used OPI-shorts story, OPI-no room for blues, China glaze-Electric pineapple, sinful colors-rise and shine)
*Base coat- I always use white when I use bright color so they show up better on the white background but, you can use any color.
*1 tooth pick or an Orange stick
*1 Zip lock bag (I didn't have wax paper.)
*1 napkin to clean off the tooth pick every time a design is made.
*Pair of cuticle scissors to shape the design to your nail
*Seche Vite top coat
*2 hours dry time
First, lay out your zip lock bag on a flat surface. Start drawing lines with the polish colors you have chosen, right beside each other and be sure that there us no gap between the colors. Then, take your tooth pick and make a design. I used a zig zag motion to make my design.
I repeated that step 6 times. I made an extra just in case one of my other ones messed up when I was peeling it off. I allowed 2 hours for the polish to dry on the zip lock bag and when it had finally dried, I cut out a shape of my nail with my cuticle scissors, removed the plastic from the back of the dryer polish design and applied it to my nail then sealed it all off with my Seche Vite topcoat. Thumb nail pointing left.
Which do you like better?
I like the zip lock version better because I could control the design and how it looked on the nail. Wet water marbling can be a little messy, I think.

Water - Agua
Pronunciation:
Ah-gwah

Harlequin Hardware Manicure
Hi ladies, I have some cool nail art that I found yesterday, it's called the Harlequin Hardware Manicure. I found it on a site called makeupforlife and the link is: http://makeupforlife.net/2011/09/runway-beauty-harlequin-hardware-manicures-at-diego-binetti-spring-2012.html
I thought it looked pretty cool so, I decided to try it. I failed but, I'll show you anyway. Lol. The pink and gold photo is theirs and the black purple and silver is my version: I used Finger Paints - Black expressionism , Color Club - Wild at heart holo , and Opi Ds- radiance.
What do you think?

Half-moon with Chanel
Hello loves! How is everyone? How are the holidays treating you? I'm very ready for them to be over. He he.
Anyways.... Today I have a lovely half-moon mani for you all today. It is my first successful half-moon mani. I used Revlon Emerald City and, Chanel Peridot. Shout out to the lovely ladies at the Chanel and Estee Lauder counter in Dillards at the Fayette Mall! I told them I would give a shout out to them about 2 months ago when I purchased Peridot. Now, on to the mani:

Peridot is a very gorgeous multi chrome and its a PITA to capture well, with my phone it is but, luckily, there are awesome people that have super natural abilities and have captured the beautiful layers of this polish. You can check out the Awesome Peridot Swatches by Scrangie HERE. She did an awesome job!
So, have you tried doing a half-moon mani? If so, leave links below! Is like to see them!!

Party Animal
Good Morning! It's been a while, how is everyone?
Today my post was inspired by
Rebeccalikesnails. She did a Christmas theme animal print. Her animal of choice? Zebra. After I seen it, I thought hers was so cute and, I HAD to try it!
Here's how mine turned out:

What do you think?

Here is how I did it:
1. Painted my nails white.
*Sally hansen - White on*
2. Topped that with a nice layer of
*Poshe fast drying TC*
This step is important, I did this to keep the red and green from becoming lightened by the white.
3. Painted on all of my red zebra stripes. I used
*Sally hansen- Red carpet* .
4 Painted on the green stripes. I used *China Glaze- Mistletoe kisses* .
5 Topped it all off with another thick layer of Poshe.

Hi ladies! Very quick apologetic post today. I'm sorry but I didn't do any manis for day 23 or 25. I'm sorry really, I will try to get back on the ball ASAP! I really hate letting you all down. But I really appreciate you all who actually view and read my blog daily, and to show my appreciation, I will be doing a reader appreciation gviewaay soon. And Yes, I spelled that wrong on purpose.
Anyways, in the the mani.
Todays theme is to create a mani inspired by fashion.
My mani is called the Mannequin manicure, because the polish you use is supposed to match your skin tone then have a matte coat over it to look like "skin". I first saw this mani in the fb group I'm in called Face and friends. I can't remember who posted it to give them credit but, if you know, comment below please! Ps, I added glitter and only matted one finger.
So, here it is:

I'm really surprises the polish was so awesome to be from one of those Walmart holiday packages. The package was $7 and came with 7 polishes (no names), 7 blushes, 7 Eyeshadows and 7 lip and eye liners. I actually purchased this before I became obsessed with polish. Anyways...I'm very chatty tonight and its already after 2o'clock and I HAVE to go to sleep soon..
Spanish word of the day:
Sleep - Dormir
Pronunciation:
Door - mere
Thank you and gave a great day.
